JALIEK RAINWALKER -
SIX MONTHS MISSING
On May 1, 2007, Jaliek
will have been missing for six months without a trace. His
adoptive parents have not only moved out of state, but they have
moved on with their lives as though Jaliek never existed.
The New York State Police
are reviewing the sonar scan data from the Texas EquuSearch
volunteers’ search of the Hudson River near Troy last Sunday.
We are hopeful that they will decide to send divers to examine
the targets identified in that data.
A group of bloggers will
again hold a bake sale for Jaliek. It will be on Thursday, May
1st in front of Jonathan’s Pizza at 31 North Pearl
Street in Albany from 11am to 4pm. They will also raffle off
several donated gift baskets. The funds raised will be used to
support search efforts for Jaliek.
Starting tomorrow, a new
poster is being posted at all boat yards, yacht clubs and public
boat launch sites along the Batten Kill and Hudson Rivers. It
asks for help from all boaters and fishermen entering the water
to help us find Jaliek.
Texas EquuSearch will soon
return to New York to help set up the next full-scale search
effort for Jaliek.

Attached are a copy of the
new poster and a great picture of Jaliek from last August.
